A while ago 60 Minutes reported on the most dangerous job in the world. Of course, that job is in Bangladesh…ship wrecking down in Chittagong (southern coastal city).

Today my friend Justin told me about what must be the 2nd most dangerous job…”brick brake boy”, right here in Dhaka. He was driving his friend to one of the other international schools in Dhaka when they noticed a bus (I think it almost hit them). The thing that was interesting was the “brake system.” Every so often a man would jump out of the bus, throw a brick in front of the bus to stop it. It didn’t sound to be a very effective method of braking because the bus would just roll over the brick. At that point the man would stare at the brick, dodge traffic to pick up the brick, run with the brick (still dodging traffic), and dive into the open door of the still speeding bus.
Bangladesh, always an adventure...always something wacky to see!
